    15th Sept 2010
How wonderful to be reminded of this song via a comment by my friend Andrew W Morse tonight.  "The Living Years" tells of a son missing out on telling his father how much he loves him.  Particularly relevant with the upcoming R U OK Day on 7th October too.

    13th Sept 2010
Day 9 now and we head home "the long way round" currently near Tennant Creek and I noticed this tweet from my friend Andrew Blanda Beautiful song I've not heard before but seems fitting tonight as we begin week two of our Black Dog Ride journey home to Sydney.

    6 Sept 2010
Kicking back on Day 2 of the Black Dog Ride reviewing tweets, photos and blog posts, I noticed this interaction on Twitter between Andrew, Venessa and Damian.  I see they're talking about the beautiful song Don't Panic by Coldplay.  I couldn't help but post it here for posterity.  Thanks guys!

22nd August - my Facebook friend Sarah Bradden shared this classic song, "Songbird" by Eva Cassidy.  I remember this song featured in one of my favourite movies "Love Actually"  Thanks for sharing Sarah!

21st August - Listening to Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide"
Stevie Nicks wrote this song while she was contemplating going back to school or continuing on with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Her band [JZ] had been dropped by Polydor Records and she and Buckingham were not getting along. She wrote the song while visiting Aspen, Colorado sitting in someone's living room "looking out at the Rocky Mountains pondering the avalanche of everything that had come crashing down on us...at that moment, my life truly felt like a landslide in many ways." - Wikipedia

    16th Aug 2010
I am reminded this morning of Bill Withers' Lean on Me:
"Sometimes in our life, we all have pain and sorrow.
But if we are wise, we know there's always tomorrow.
Lean on Me, when you're not strong.
And I'll be your friend. I'll help you carry on."

Thanks @Chefmumu for "favourite skiing song" Alive by Pearl Jam
